The pen you are purchasing in a reliable and well made instrument. All plating is 24 karat gold alloy or chrome. The wood has been hand selected for color and grain, turned to shape, then sanded with up to 1500 grit sandpaper or up to 12000 micromesh sanding pads. The final finish is a combination of shellac and water resistant carnuba wax.
Your pen is designed to be used, however, with use the wood will darken slightly. Fortunately the wood can easily be cleaned and the gloss restored by buffing with a high quality furniture wax.
Also with use your pen will eventually run out of ink and your pencil will run out of lead. Again this is a situation which you can rectify quickly and easily as follows:
